Every year, Apple holds a lottery to randomly select attendees to its WorldWide Developers Conference (WWDC). This year, The Sparks Solution won one of the highly coveted tickets. The 2015 WWDC was held June 8-12 in San Francisco and The Sparks Solution was there.
The conference opened with Tim Cook giving the keynote address and talking about what’s coming next with Apple. This included ApplePay, AppleMusic and moving the Apple’s programming language (Swift) to open source (allowing everyone access to ALL the code).
There were multiple sessions each hour each day on everything from how to use iAd to monetize apps to how to use the latest tools for creating great animation and iWatch apps. Each session was lead by actual Apple Engineers and started with an overview of current functionality followed by a dive into the new functionality being released. There were networking events, guest speakers (like the audacious Debbie Sterling, founder of GoldieBlox) and a big bash at the end of the week with music by Walk The Moon.
Overall the experience was amazing and invigorating. We paid attention during the classes and also managed to have some fun while we learned. So now we are back in the office and ready to use our newly acquired knowledge – stay tuned for updates or contact us here to see what The Sparks Solution can do for your business.
